Notts County Foundation Successfully Raises £15,000 in Raise the Roof campaign for The Portland Centre

In an amazing display of community support, Notts County Foundation is delighted to announce the successful conclusion to its Raise the Roof campaign, securing the much-needed funds of £15,000 for essential repairs to the roof of their Community Leisure Hub – The Portland Centre. This achievement ensures the sustainability and future functionality of a crucial community space.


The Portland Centre serves as a bustling community hub, welcoming hundreds of users weekly, offering a diverse range of support services and has done for over 100 years. Among its regular patrons is the Mencap Me Time group, which relies on the centre as a base for their activities. For them and countless others, The Portland Centre is not just a place to exercise but a vital lifeline to community engagement and connection.

The Raise the Roof campaign, spearheaded by Notts County Foundation, captured the hearts of supporters and enthusiasts alike. Through concerted efforts and generous contributions, the Foundation not only met but exceeded its fundraising goal. The campaign also featured a Notts County memorabilia raffle, which played a pivotal role in pushing the initiative over the line, with over £1600 raised through this engaging endeavour.
