Notts County Foundation officially unveiled its deeply meaningful Baby Remembrance Wall at Meadow Lane – a permanent tribute to “baby Magpies” who never had the chance to experience a matchday, but will forever be part of the Notts County family.
Located within the Family Stand, the wall was created in partnership with Forever Stars, alongside Sands United Nottingham, Fast Graphics, Riaan Remembers, Edwalton Charity FC, and The Dairy. The initiative forms part of the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to mark Baby Loss Awareness Week 2025 and to support families across Nottingham who have experienced the heartbreak of losing a baby.
”This wall stands as a symbol of so many people coming together for one cause that affects thousands of families. It is our hope that other football clubs across the country will be inspired by what Notts County have done and consider creating their own remembrance walls. By doing so, they too can offer a place of comfort, reflection, and love for families who have experienced baby loss. Notts County have truly become pioneers in leading the way on this important and compassionate initiative.” – Richard Daniels, co-founder of Forever Stars
The unveiling was an emotional and powerful occasion, bringing together families, fans, and charity partners who have added their baby’s name to the wall. Guests gathered to reflect, remember, and celebrate the lives of those lost too soon — united through the strength of the Notts County community.

The Foundation opened the unveiling with a speech about the importance of remembrance and connection. They were joined by Leanne from Forever Stars, who spoke passionately about the support such spaces bring to bereaved families, and by the High Sheriff of Nottingham, who commended the courage of those in attendance and praised the fanbase for their compassion and solidarity.
“Football is about so much more than what happens on the pitch. This wall ensures that every baby has a place within our footballing family. Their names will forever be part of Meadow Lane and the Notts County story.” – Josh Wing, wall creator and Marketing and Events Coordinator
The unveiling marks a new chapter in the Foundation’s partnership work to make Meadow Lane a place of inclusion, reflection, and community.
‘You don’t know how much this means to us. This has lifted us after such a difficult time and we feel part of something special. Seeing our baby’s name here makes it more real, but it makes me proud… proud of who we are and proud of our family… thank you to Josh and Notts County.” – Anonymous parent/contributor
As Baby Loss Awareness Week continues, Notts County Foundation remains proud to stand alongside families, supporters, and partners in ensuring that every baby lost too soon is remembered, cherished, and forever part of our Magpie family.
Notts County Foundation would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the partners who made the Baby Remembrance Wall possible.
A special thanks to Forever Stars and Sands United Nottingham, for their invaluable input and guidance on the wall’s design, and to Graphics, who generously donated the materials and installation — working tirelessly to meet deadlines and ensure everything was perfect for the unveiling.
