Primary schools from across Nottinghamshire came together for an exciting day of football as they competed in the Premier League Primary Stars U11s Kids Cup, battling for the opportunity to represent Notts County at the regional finals.
Nine schools travelled to the University of Nottingham to take part in the highly anticipated tournament. The event showcased both the quality of grassroots football in the county and the enthusiasm of young players eager to test themselves in a competitive environment.

The schools taking part were:
- Lady Bay Primary School
- Nottingham Academy
- Heymann Primary School
- Barnby Road Academy
- Langar CofE Primary School
- Greythorn Primary School
- Scotholme Primary School
- Chetwynd Spencer Academy
- Dunkirk Primary School
The tournament was played in a round-robin league format, with each team playing six competitive matches against other local primary schools. Results were recorded throughout the day, with final league standings determining progression to the knockout stages.
Despite challenging weather conditions, the standard of football remained high throughout the competition. Players demonstrated excellent determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship, ensuring the event was both competitive and enjoyable for everyone involved.

The top teams progressed to the semi-finals, which featured the following matchups:
- Dunkirk Primary School vs Greythorn Primary School

Both semi-final fixtures were closely contested, with Greythorn Primary School and Chetwynd Spencer Academy emerging victorious to secure their places in the final.
The final proved to be another competitive encounter, with both teams showing great resilience and skill. Ultimately, Greythorn Primary School came out on top, claiming the title for the second successive season and earning the honour of representing Notts County at the regional finals.
Notts County Foundation would like to congratulate and thank all schools who took part in this tournament, as well as those who participated in our previous competitions, including the EFL Girls U13s Cup and the EFL Kids Cup U11s. A special congratulations goes to Greythorn Primary School, who will now go on to represent Notts County at the regional finals in March.
