Notts County Foundation were proud to attend the EFL Week of Action: Changing Lives Together event at the Coventry Building Society Arena, a national celebration of the incredible community impact delivered by EFL Clubs and their charities.
The event brought together representatives from across the League to highlight projects that are making a real difference in local communities. As part of the showcase, our team put one of our key inclusion programmes, the South Asian Women & Girls football sessions in the spotlight.
Participants from the weekly sessions took to the Arena to deliver a short taster activity, giving guests an insight into the welcoming, empowering environment we create for women and girls to come together through football.

A highlight of the day came when Asia, one of our programme ambassadors, was invited onto the main stage to speak about her experience and the impact the sessions have had on her and the wider community. Her inspiring words captured how the programme goes far beyond football, helping to build confidence, friendships, and a stronger sense of belonging.
Our team also had the opportunity to meet Frank Lampard and Notts County midfielder Scott Robertson, who both stopped by to watch our participants in action and hear more about the Foundation’s work.
“It was an incredible experience to be part of such a positive and inspiring day. Seeing our participants showcase their skills and confidence on such a big stage was something really special. The sessions are about more than football… they’re about community, empowerment, and giving everyone the opportunity to belong.” – Vicky Spargo, Deputy Sport and Inclusion Manger at Notts County Foundation
The EFL Week of Action was a powerful reminder of the role football can play in changing lives. For Notts County Foundation, it was an opportunity to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to inclusion and to celebrate the remarkable women and girls who are shaping the future of our game.
