Notts County Foundation to join Partners to Create Baby Loss Remembrance Wall at Meadow Lane

Notts County Foundation is proud to be working with Forever Stars, alongside Sands United Nottingham, Fast Graphics, Riaan Remembers, Edwalton Charity FC, and The Dairy, to mark Baby Loss Awareness Week 2025 with a very special initiative.

Together, we will create a Remembrance Wall at Meadow Lane, located within the Family Stand, where families can honour their “baby Magpies” – little ones who never had the chance to experience a match day or be part of the Notts County story.

Football is about far more than what happens on the pitch. It’s about family, tradition, and belonging. For generations, the black and white stripes have been passed down through families, with grandparents, parents, and children sharing the highs and lows of supporting Notts County.

For those who have experienced the heartbreak of baby loss, missing the chance to share those moments can add to their grief. The Remembrance Wall is designed to acknowledge that loss and ensure that every baby has a place within our footballing family.

“We have been working with our partner charities for some time and we wanted to really make a difference for their community. The Foundation is all about creating connections through football and making people feel part of something bigger. For families who have experienced baby loss, we wanted to make sure their little ones are recognised as part of our Magpie family too. The Remembrance Wall gives them a permanent place at Meadow Lane and ensures their memory lives on within our community.” – Josh Wing, Marketing and Events Coordinator and project lead at Notts County Foundation

Families wishing to have a name added to the Remembrance Wall can do so free of charge. Simply complete the form in the link below, and a member of the Forever Stars team will be in touch to explain the next steps.

This initiative is made possible thanks to the collective support of all the partner organisations, who are committed to standing alongside families across Nottingham affected by baby loss.

“We know how much it means for families to imagine their little one standing beside them on the terraces, wearing black and white, and being part of the Notts County story. This Remembrance Wall gives them a way to keep that connection, and ensures those babies are remembered by the community they would have been part of.” – Richard Daniels, Co-Founder of Forever Stars

The unveiling of the Remembrance Wall will be a key part of Notts County and Forever Stars’ dedication for Baby Loss Awareness Week (9th–15th October 2025), which also includes remembrance events, community activities, and awareness-raising initiatives.

Notts County Foundation are proud to support this project and to ensure that every baby lost too soon is remembered, cherished, and forever part of the Notts County community.
