Who we are
A responsibility that goes beyond football
As the charitable Foundation of the world’s oldest professional football club, we have a responsibility that goes beyond football. We exist to support people in Nottingham to address their biggest social needs, channelling the passion, energy and expertise of the club–Foundation partnership into programmes that transform lives.
Our work stands on three pillars. Health, helping people live healthier, happier and more connected lives. Education, supporting children and young people to engage, achieve and realise their potential. Social mobility, creating pathways into skills, employment and stronger futures. All of it underpinned by inclusion and improved accessibility.
Our home is The Meadows, where parts of the community are among the most deprived ten per cent in England, and where the life expectancy gap runs to nine or ten years. The Portland Centre is where much of this ambition comes together: a holistic wellbeing hub for the whole community.
