Inspirational community couple named March Captain’s Corner award winners

Notts County Foundation’s Captain’s Corner award shines a spotlight on individuals who embody the spirit of community, resilience, and kindness. Each month, the award recognises those who go above and beyond, making a positive impact on the lives of people in our community. For the third month of 2024, the winners are Cynthia and Deryk Flowers, a couple whose dedication and selflessness inspire all who know them.

Since joining the Notts County Foundation’s ‘Right Mind’ programme in December, Cynthia Flowers has epitomised resilience and compassion. Her journey within the programme has not only transformed her life but has also become a source of inspiration for others. Cynthia’s unwavering commitment to spreading positivity and support within the community reflects her remarkable character.

Deryk Flowers’ story is one of triumph over adversity. With over 30 years of service as a steward at Notts County, Deryk’s dedication to his beloved club and community is unwavering. Now a season ticket holder and a consistent supporter of this great club, Deryk’s passion for Notts County is infectious.
