Today marks an important moment for Notts County Foundation as we begin to share our vision for the future with a brand-new strategy. Before we look ahead, it’s important to reflect on who we are, what we stand for, and the impact we are already making across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire every single day.
Because at the heart of everything we do is a belief: we can drive lasting change.
Supporting Communities Through Sport

Across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, our Sport and Inclusion programmes are creating opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to feel connected, supported, and inspired.
From our South Asian Women and Girls sessions, which provide a safe and welcoming space for women and girls to take part in football and build confidence, to our growing offer of activities designed to break down barriers to participation, we are committed to making sport accessible to everyone.
Programmes like Premier League Kicks continue to play a vital role in engaging young people in some of our communities, offering safe spaces to play, learn, and grow. Through regular sessions, mentoring, and leadership opportunities, young people are not only developing their skills on the pitch, but also building confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging.
In schools, our Premier League Primary Stars delivery is helping to inspire the next generation. By bringing learning to life through sport, we are supporting children to develop essential life skills, improve their wellbeing, and raise their aspirations for the future.
Whether it’s through PE delivery, holiday camps, or targeted interventions, our work is about more than activity—it’s about creating positive experiences that stay with young people for life.
Improving Health and Wellbeing

Our Health programmes are designed to support people at some of the most important and challenging times in their lives.
Through initiatives such as CARE (Cancer and Rehabilitation Exercise), we provide tailored support for individuals living with or recovering from cancer, helping them rebuild strength, confidence, and a sense of normality through physical activity and social connection.
Our Cardiac and Prehab to Rehab sessions offer safe, structured environments for individuals looking to improve their physical health, while programmes like Right Mind create welcoming spaces for women to focus on their mental wellbeing through activity and conversation.
In schools, our Goals for Life programme is helping young people better understand their own wellbeing, building confidence and encouraging positive habits that can last a lifetime.
Across all of our health work, one thing remains consistent: people are at the centre of everything we do.
Creating Pathways Through Education

Education is a key part of our work, and we are proud to support young people at every stage of their journey.
Our Heading For Goal programme provides an alternative learning environment for young people who may have become disengaged from mainstream education. Through a personalised and supportive approach, we help learners rebuild confidence, re-engage with education, and take positive steps towards their future.
For young adults, our Employability Youth Hub offers vital support to those preparing for the world of work. By providing guidance, practical skills, and real-life opportunities, we help young people build independence and move forward with confidence.
These programmes are about more than qualifications—they are about giving people the tools, support, and belief they need to succeed.
A Place for the Community

The Portland Centre continues to play a vital role in our work, providing a welcoming space where the community can come together to be active, connect, and take part in a wide range of activities.
From swimming and gym sessions to group exercise classes and community programmes, the facility is a hub for health, wellbeing, and opportunity.
Looking Ahead
The impact we are making today is only part of the story.
Every session delivered, every conversation had, and every opportunity created is helping to shape stronger, more connected and cohesive communities.
As we launch our new strategy, we do so with a renewed commitment to the people we serve, building on the work we are already proud of, and looking ahead to how we can do even more.
Because this is about more than programmes….
It’s about people.
It’s about community.
And it’s about creating lasting change.
Our full strategy will be available after the initial launch. Notts County supporters and the wider-community can find out more about our values and reshaped strategy at this weekend’s upcoming fixture at Meadow Lane Stadium (Saturday 18th April 2026, vs Barnet). Have a conversation with a member of Foundation staff, who will be placed across the ground prior to kick-off.
