Notts County Foundation is incredibly proud to announce that our Baby Remembrance Wall at Meadow Lane Stadium has been named League Two Community Project of the Season at the EFL Awards.
The EFL Community Project of the Season Award celebrates the most innovative and impactful projects delivered in the last 12 months, with a tangible impact to the local community.
The national recognition celebrates the impact of our project, created to provide a permanent space for reflection, remembrance, and support for those affected by baby loss.
Unveiled as part of the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to supporting mental wellbeing and creating inclusive spaces, the Baby Remembrance Wall has become a deeply meaningful part of both the stadium and the wider community. Located in the Family Stand, it offers individuals and families a place to honour babies lost too soon, ensuring their memory has a lasting and visible place at the heart of Meadow Lane.

Launched during Baby Loss Awareness Week, the wall was developed with the support of Forever Stars and Sands United Nottingham, ensuring it was shaped by those with lived experience and rooted in compassion.
Since its installation, the wall has resonated far beyond matchdays. It has become a quiet, reflective space where people can pause, remember, and feel connected to others who share similar experiences.
This award is a testament to the strength and courage of those who have shared their stories, and to the compassion shown by everyone who has supported and embraced the project. It reflects the power of football clubs and their foundations to provide more than just sport – creating spaces that matter in people’s lives.
“We are incredibly proud to see the Notts Baby Remembrance Wall recognised at the EFL Awards. This project was built on trust, compassion, and the voices of those with lived experience.
It’s a space that means so much to so many people, and this award belongs to every individual and family who has engaged with it. Their stories are the reason it exists.” – Josh Wing, Project lead and Marketing and Events Coordinator at Notts County Foundation
As part of the recognition, Notts County has been invited to the House of Commons to celebrate the winning community projects from across the English Football League, ahead of the overall winner being announced at the EFL Awards in London.

The Foundation would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to all partners, supporters, and community members who contributed to the creation of the Baby Loss Wall and continue to give it purpose.
While this recognition from the English Football League is a proud moment, the true impact of the project lies in what it represents, a place of remembrance, a source of comfort, and a reminder that no one has to navigate loss alone.
