Notts County Foundation is delighted to announce the return of its traineeship programme, with the first cohort of 2022 beginning on Monday 10th January,
Suitable for 19-24-year-olds who are not currently in education, employment, or formal training, the 12-week traineeship programme presents a fantastic opportunity for individuals to gain work experience and learn new skills, offering clear career progression paths within the sport and leisure industry.
Mark Smith, Deputy Education Manager at Notts County Foundation, said: “Our traineeships are ideal for anyone who is unsure of their next steps after finishing education or training. All of our education programmes offer positive alternatives to A-Levels and college courses and offer entry routes to work in the leisure sector, including sports coaching, leisure management, teaching, mental health, National Citizen Service (NCS), administration, and catering.”
The traineeship programme is divided into three subsections – ‘on the job’ experience, development of functional skills, and development of employability skills, with an emphasis being placed on attaining as much practical experience as possible.
