Traineeships

16-18 Year Old Traineeships

Course content:

A fantastic opportunity to gain work experience and learn new skills, offering career progression paths within a sport and leisure environment. Your chance to be part of a Traineeship programme with your local football club.

You will spend 5 days a week at a professional club where you will get the chance to shadow professional members of club staff and community football coaches.

Future opportunities:

After successfully completing 12 weeks of employability skills, leadership qualifications and 100 hours of work experience, you will progress further with Notts County Community Foundation.

Entry requirements:

  • Must be aged 16-18
  • Not hold a level 3 qualification or higher
  • Not be in full time employment or education.
  • A genuine interest in working with children in sport.

Assessment:

  • Your academic qualifications will consist of coursework and portfolios
  • Maths and English will be an examination, however, this is optional
  • A reference from your mentor

19-24 Traineeships

Course content:

A fantastic opportunity to gain work experience and learn new skills, offering career progression paths within a sport and leisure environment. Your chance to be part of a Traineeship programme with your local football club.

You will spend three days a week at a professional club where you will get the chance to shadow professional members of club staff and community football coaches.

Future opportunities:

After successfully completing 12 weeks of employability skills, leadership qualifications and 100 hours of work experience, you will progress further with Notts County Foundation. We run a shorter study programme at level 1 as well as delivering maths and English to the level you are capable.

Entry requirements:

  • Must be aged 19-24
  • Not be in full time employment or education.
  • A genuine interest in working with children in sport.

Assessment:

  • Your academic qualifications will consist of coursework and portfolios
  • Maths and English will be an examination, however, this is optional
  • A reference from your mentor
